Delivery health: know which gifts need you
How GiftDesk flags gifts that may miss their date, parcels that stop moving, and deliveries the recipient has not confirmed, and what each plan includes.
Tracking says where. Delivery health says whether it matters.
A carrier page tells you a parcel is "in transit". It does not tell you the gift will miss the launch dinner, or that it has been sitting at a hub for five days, or that the carrier marked it delivered and nobody has it.
GiftDesk checks every gift in a campaign against two things: the date it has to arrive, and how recently the carrier scanned it. It also asks the recipient, on their gift page, whether it arrived. Only the gifts that need a person get flagged. Everything on track stays quiet.
The flags
- At risk: the gift may miss its needed-by date.
- Late: the needed-by date has passed and the gift is not delivered.
- No movement: the carrier has not scanned the parcel for longer than usual. The badge shows how long, for example "No movement 4d".
- Got it / Not here: the recipient's own answer on the gift page.
Where you see them
Gift team, on the shared desk. Each flag shows as a badge in the Status column, next to the needed-by date. Tiles at the top count At risk, No movement, Confirmed, and Unconfirmed 48h+. Click At risk, No movement, or Unconfirmed 48h+ to filter the table to just those recipients. On Pro, an Awaiting address tile appears while address checks are open.
Store, in Shopify admin. The campaign table shows the same badges. Needs attention has an At risk section for gifts that may miss their date, are late, have stopped moving, or have not shipped in time. Each order page shows the needed-by date, the ship-by date, and one line explaining the flag.
Recipient, on the gift page. Calm wording only. They never see the internal reason, and GiftDesk never emails them about a delay.
Guides in this series
- Needed-by dates and at-risk alerts: set the date a gift must land, get a ship-by date, and hear early when it will not make it.
- Confirm addresses before gifts ship: recipients check their address on the gift page, and the store applies any change before shipping.
- Know they got it: Got it and Not here: recipients confirm on the gift page, so you never have to ask.
- Stalled parcels, reships, and replacement orders: spot parcels that went quiet, ask the store to reship, and link the replacement.
- Carrier claim evidence pack: one printable pack with everything a carrier claim form asks for.
- Ticket response times and reminders: see how long each ticket has waited for the store, in business hours.
What each plan includes
Every plan (Starter, Pro, Plus, and the 14-day trial) includes:
- At risk, Late, and No movement flags, badges, tiles, and filters
- Needed-by and ship-by dates on the desk and order pages
- The At risk section in the store's Needs attention
- "Got it" / "Not here" on the gift page, and the Confirmed and Unconfirmed 48h+ tiles
- The optional "running late" message and the calm no-movement line on the gift page
- Linking a replacement order to the original
- The store's carrier claim pack, and marking a claim filed
Pro (and Plus, and the trial) adds:
- Email alerts for at risk, late, no movement, missed ship-by dates, and "Not here" answers
- "Got it" emails to the gift team, when the store turns on delivered emails in Settings
- Reship requests from the desk that open a tracked request for the store
- Address checks before shipping
- Claim status for the gift team on the shared desk
- Ticket response times and up to two reminders to the store
On Starter, a person watches the desk instead of getting emails, and a reship request is a prefilled email to the store. See Pricing.
What GiftDesk does not do
- It does not move parcels. It changes who finds out, and when.
- It does not file carrier claims. The claim pack gathers the evidence; the store submits the claim.
- It does not email recipients about delays. The gift page updates; the inbox stays theirs.
- It does not change the carrier's status. "At risk" is GiftDesk's judgment next to the carrier's status, never a replacement for it.
